Tee Time Fashion Show 2019

Within the past spring semester, I designed for my first fashion show. This was such an amazing milestone to check off as an aspiring designer. The annual show called “Tee Time” and the theme is to create garments from up cycled and repurposed materials.

Seen below is a pink suit set (size 18) and purple suit set (size 14) purchased at America’s Thrift in Tuscaloosa, AL.

While creating my look, I kept the peplum pleats from the back of the purple jacket and reused it for the front of my one shoulder top. The lapel on the neckline of the top is the collars of both jackets repurposed. My overall goal was the create a color blocked look.

My roommate Emma so kindly modeled the look at the show for me. I opted to sleek her hair back to show off the one shoulder design.

I cannot wait to design for many shows to come!
