Personal Styling: Lisa Tokes
Last week in my Fashion Marketing & Communication class at NABA in Milan, I was challenged to market to someone age 30-50 in an innovative way to introduce an Italian brand to my client. Enjoy reading my mock up of styling my mom in the label Penny Black.

Notes from meeting with client on July 3rd, 2019
Mrs. Tokes is looking for new fashion and accessories for her trip to Buenos Aires in September 2019. She doesn’t like flashy branding, and truly appreciates Italian apparel, leather goods and jewelry. Tokes is not a trend follower, she chooses to have neutral & classic staples in her collection and adds personality with her shoes, handbags and specifically, gold jewelry. From time to time, she loves a bold print to shake up her closet. For her upcoming trip, she is looking to grow her apparel. Her price points for apparel are between $200 to $300 per item of clothing. To keep her packing simple, she is looking for jumpsuits and dresses, instead of having multi-piece looks.

I am going to introduce Mrs. Tokes to the label, Penny Black, as this is a highly respected Italian women’s fashion label. After determining the weather in Buenos Aires during Mrs. Tokes’ stay, I found most days will be mid 60s, and nights being low 50s. My plan is to offer many breezy jumpsuits and dresses to keep Mrs. Tokes comfortable in the fall weather. All of the looks found below can be accessorized with gold jewelry, neutral shoes and a simple handbag of her choosing.

“I love the belted crop jumpsuit as it could be worn day or night depending upon what accessories are put with it; I think I would prefer it in the color black however vs. lilac shown. The striped linen shirt dress and denim dress are totally my style and will be perfect for daytime sightseeing. I also love the pattern on the sleeveless jumpsuit which looks like it could transition day to night as well depending upon the type of shoe it is paired with.
