College Bedroom 2018/19
Life has caught up with me! Moving back to Tuscaloosa, going through rush "on the other side", and starting my classes has taken up most of my time. Today I'll be sharing my college bedroom decor. I live in an off campus house with 3 roommates who happen to also be sorority sisters of mine.
The furniture in my bedroom is from Wayfair. My bed is an iron bed frame that didn't require a box spring. The nightstand matches the dresser seen below. My bedding is from my bedroom in Florida, as I redecorated my bedroom at home over the summer. The decorative pillows are Kate Spade and the monogram pillow is from Etsy. The canvases above my bed were picked up in Homegoods, and the monogram on the wall is from Etsy. Quick story about the canvases, I had met up with a friend for dinner right before I was coming back to Ttown and stopped into Homegoods because I have zero self control when it comes to home decorating, so my sweet friend was a trooper and bared the ridiculous line with me just to pick these up!
This dresser has been the biggest pain ever! After being delivered after a month of living in Tuscaloosa, it showed up damaged and I had to go through reordering it and waiting for the second one to be delivered. Either way, Wayfair had amazing customer service to help solve this issue. I'm so happy to finally have it filled with my clothes, instead of using a laundry basket to hold my fits. All of the decorative items on the dresser are either from Pottery Barn or Homegoods!
You could've guessed it, my desk is from Wayfair. To spice it up though, the storage drawers to the left of my desk are from Ikea. They're great for holding all of my makeup and the bottom drawer is for my extra school supplies. The tufted ottoman was a steal I got from Target online. The mirror and bulletin board are being recycled from my dorm room last year. My best decision was to use white as my main decor color and now I'm able to give small "facelifts" to my space with pops of color, while still using decor from last year. Last but not least, the pink and gold vases on the desk are from Pier 1. This doubles as a workplace and my makeup vanity!
My absolute favorite part of my room is my sitting corner! This gray settee is from Homegoods and is slightly larger than a normal lounge chair. When I stumbled upon this in the store, I immediately called my mom and she knew, me having no self control, I'd try to buy it but she said if it was still there the next day she'd come help me load it into her car, saying mine couldn't accommodate it. Well, I don't like to wait around on a great deal like this one, so I bought it and out the store I merrily went. I shoved my passenger seat all the way forward, and snuggly it fit in back. The table was previously used as a nightstand in my dorm, now houses my coffee table reads and my wall is adorned with sorority paraphernalia, my bid and my initiation certificate.
XOXO,
