BOSSI Boutique

In the end of August, I applied and interviewed for a new boutique opening up in Tuscaloosa called BOSSI. BOSSI is a women’s athletic and atheleisure one stop shop with some on the go accessories. I was notified about this opportunity through a previous professor I had within my apparel design program and he mentioned the owner was a friend of his.

I was hopeful I would be given the opportunity to work here as it fit perfectly into my schedule to close the store after my classes on weekdays and open or close on the weekends. Thankfully, the owner and my now boss, Pasquale hired me and I started working in the beginning of September.

It’s crazy to think I’ve already been here for 2 months and counting but I have learned so much about the buying process, marketing, the importance of social media, organizing new merchandise and keeping our online system working efficiently when making sales and inputting our customers. My favorite events that we do are our sip & shop events and our after hours complimentary workout classes.

Pasquale and BOSSI also partnered with SFA, where I hold the executive position of blogger, to help with our first annual Halloween fashion show and we had some BOSSI models walk in the show to promote the store! It was an amazing turn out and all of the ticket sales were donated to the Susan Love Foundation in honor of breast cancer awareness.

I have recently have been getting to work more often as my boss is getting ready to deliver her baby. I have been so excited for her ever since I interviewed and found out her due date!
